Evaluate your expectations
“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.” Psalm 62:5 KJV

We all have expectations of others. Many times, we may not be totally aware of our expectations, or we don’t express them or will not acknowledge that they are unrealistic. Therefore, they can cause us a great deal…

Hope is Just a Song Away

I was driving to work and heard a song that really spoke to my heart.  Rebekah, thanks to your efforts; I now know the name of the song is “When I fall”.  I was in tears driving and listening.  My parents are elderly with a lot of complex health issues and my father has been bedridden for almost 3 years.  My son and I manage their care.  My son is 24 and has put his flying career on hold to help me with their care. Many days we feel burnt out and hopeless; but with the grace of God we are lifted (“caught when we fall”). God bless you and everyone at UCB Canada as well as all the composers and musicians involved in creating these beautiful songs (which are a true testament of so many people’s lives). That is how God can connect to us; and in turn we connect to Him..as well as connect to another.

So I--I listen to all kinds of different music and I was just getting to the point where nothing was motivating me. Sure, the dance songs were great and the old 70's rock I grew up with is awesome and everything, but I'm like I need something fresh. I need something new. So I was scrolling around stations and honestly I can't even remember. What song it was, but it might have been, you say. And I'm like Ohh, I love this song, but I don't really want to listen to another pop station cause I only ever heard it on a pop station. Right? So I left it cause I love the song. And then another faith-based song came on. I'm like ohh. This is Christian rock. Yes. Finally something different and then it's been there ever since, like two months now. And every time I think, oh, maybe I'll go back to some Top 40 just to, you know, dance around the house or whatever. Something like don't stop praying comes on. I'm like. Oh, it's OK. I'll dance to this. It's bizarre. I go to bed at night and I'm singing one of the songs I wake up in the morning. It's in my head. I'm like this is why I listen to it. This is why.

Good morning. My name is Sheila, I'm from Chatham-Kent, and I just wanted to say how much your radio has done for me in my life. Two years ago in February, I was gonna take my life because I was in such a lost place. I lost a pregnancy, and I didn't have nowhere else to go. And I was questioning about God and I put your radio station on and the song Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) was playing and it just touched me and it helped me to find where I am today. And I cannot thank you guys enough. I recently had a baby in September of last year. She's 8 months old and I named her Michaela. It means gift from God because she surely is a gift from God. And I just wanted to thank you guys for giving me that second chance by playing these songs every single day. They're helping so many people out there and I really appreciate you guys. You guys have a blessed day and keep up the good work.
